WatchUWatchin+ ("WUW+", "we", "us") is a social app for sharing what you watch with people you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. Questions: support@fefoabreu.me.

What we collect

• Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create your account.
• Your content. Recommendations you send and receive, reactions, the titles you mark as watching or add to your watchlist, your all-time favorites, and a display avatar you choose.
• Connections. The bingers you add and who add you.
• Device tokens. A push notification token so we can notify you of new recommendations and reactions.

How we use it

To provide the service — showing your activity to the friends you've connected with, delivering notifications, and generating recommendations. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

• Your chosen friends, who can see the activity you share in the app.
• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging), which stores your data and delivers notifications on our behalf.
• Content metadata providers (TMDB, Apple iTunes Search, TheTVDB) to look up titles, posters, and cast — we send them the title you're searching, not who you are.
• Anthropic, to generate the playful in-character reaction options for a title.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Your choices & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, recommendations, reactions, watchlist, favorites, connections, and push tokens from our systems. You can also block any user from their profile, which hides them from you both ways.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed. Abuse reports may be retained as needed to keep the community safe.

Children

WUW+ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
