WatchUWatchin+ ("WUW+", "we", "us") is a social app for sharing what you watch with people you choose, on iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple TV, plus a few web pages the app lets you share. WUW+ is made by fefoabreu.me | Ventures in Richmond, Virginia, USA. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the control you have over it. Some features create a web page that anyone with the link can open. These pages ask search engines not to list them (the only exception is a settled answer we research and edit by hand), and each one has a way to report it. Names, prompts, topics, reasons and questions pass a content filter before they appear.
Your invite code is also a permanent web address. It always invites people to join you. When you open your hotline in the app, the same page shows your display name and the prompt you write, and anyone can send you a recommendation, Binger or not. If you turn on Top Shelf, the page also shows up to eight favorites you pinned, with their posters and the reason or tag you chose; turn it off and they leave the page. While your hotline is closed, the page shows a plain invite without your name.
What a visitor sends: the title they pick, an optional one-line reason and an optional name. They don't need an account. Their title search goes through our server to TMDB and Apple, with nothing about them attached, and we look the chosen title up again ourselves, so the page never takes the browser's word for what it is: adult titles never land, and explicit ones wait for you to put them through.
How we recognize a sender: Cloudflare passes us the visitor's network address (for IPv6, only the part that identifies a home or a phone). We never store it: we turn it into a fingerprint, a hash mixed with a secret value unique to your hotline. Their browser also keeps a random id and the name they typed, so the page remembers them, and that id is hashed the same way. The fingerprints are used only to allow three picks a day per browser and six per sender, to keep a block, and to link a pick to its sender if they later join with your code. Every send passes a Cloudflare Turnstile check. After 200 picks in a day your hotline stays open, and later picks wait for you to put them through.
What you see: the pick, the reason and the name. A pick that comes through lands in your recommendations like any other and stays there as part of your account. If you block a sender, we keep their fingerprint for your hotline so their later picks are dropped; without your hotline's secret it identifies no one.
How long: each visitor entry is deleted 30 days after it arrives, even while your hotline stays open. Blocks and the fingerprint secret are deleted 30 days after you close your hotline. Everything goes straight away if you delete your account.
A call's page shows your display name and the topic you set, and takes picks from anyone with the link the same way your hotline does, with a new fingerprint secret for each call, a daily limit of eleven picks per browser and twenty-two per sender, and the Turnstile check once a call gets busy. Visitor entries, blocks and the secret are deleted 30 days after the call goes off the air. When a call ends, its closing credits (the picks and the names callers typed) stay in your Smart Lists as part of your account.
When you recommend a title to someone who isn't on WUW+, the link shows that one title, your display name, your reason, and your invite code if the link carries it. It stays live until you delete your account. To take one down sooner, write to privacy@watchuwatchinplus.com.
A question you ask That settles it and its sourced answer become a page anyone with the link can open. The page carries no name and no account. The same answer is shown to anyone who asks the same question, and it is looked up again after 30 days. Because it isn't tied to you, it stays after you delete your account. If you share it, the link can carry your invite code.
The preview images your phone makes for these links are stored with Google Cloud Storage.
watchuwatchinplus.com uses no cookies, ads or tracking pixels. We count page views and button taps as daily totals per language, with nothing about you. If you ask the site to text you the app, your phone number goes to Twilio to send that one message. We don't store the number or your network address: to stop repeat texts we keep only hashes of them, mixed with a secret that changes every day, and delete them after two days.
To provide the service: showing your activity to the Bingers you connected with, delivering notifications, suggesting what to watch, running the pages you share, keeping WUW+ safe (rate limits, the content filter, reports and blocks), and fixing crashes. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
You can delete your account at any time: on iPhone from Account → Delete account; on Apple TV from your profile → Delete account, which shows a code you scan with your phone to finish on a page that deletes the account. This permanently erases your profile, recommendations, reactions, watchlist, favorites and Top Shelf, connections, calls and your hotline with the picks they received, shared links, and push tokens from our systems, and revokes Sign in with Apple. You can also block any user from their profile, which hides you from each other.
In the app you can close your hotline, turn Top Shelf off, take a call off the air, or stop being discoverable whenever you like.
No longer signed in anywhere? Email privacy@watchuwatchinplus.com and tell us which account it is (the email you signed in with, or your WUW+ name). We may ask you to confirm it’s yours, then we erase it the same way, within 15 days. The same address handles any other request about your data: a copy of it, a correction, or a deletion. If you sent a pick without an account and want it removed, tell us the hotline or call and the name you used.
Our servers are in the United States. If you use WUW+ from elsewhere, your data is transferred there and to the providers above, which protect it under their own data processing terms.
WUW+ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
